CAFÉ DU JOUR Few unadorned pleasures comp
are to a cup of coffee sipped in an open air sidewalk café: in this case, the darker, the better. Creative director Tim Hooks envisioned the commingling of myriad highly aromatic coffees – amongst them Turkish, Greek, Arabic, espresso. Perfumer Michael Salazar brings coffee to another level as he marries the walnut-y tones of tamanu oil with butter and milky tones; sultry wood and resins with the most tender wisps of pink peppercorn, lavender, black currant, and ylang-ylang. The end result is an enchanting culinary tapestry.
Notes: Coffee, Nutty Notes, Tamanu Oil, Black Currant, Ylang-Ylang, Lavender, Heliotrope Accord, Pink Peppercorn, Butter CO2, Milk Foam Accord, Tonka Bean, Oakwood, Guaiacwood, Siam Benzoin, Portuguese Labdanum, Caramel Accord, Indian Davana, Birch Tar, Musk

Joshua Kong –
Café Du Jour hits you with a blast of Coffee and Lavender in the very beginning, and dries down to a very scrumptious cup of coffee in the end. There are a few notes in here that create this very Buttery accord that goes so well with the Coffee, almost giving a hazelnut coffee effect. The dry down is the star of the show here.
